Being able to go to clubs is really cool. I've only been to 2 so far, and they were both pretty fun. One of them was small and underground. It made me think of a cave, or large wine cellar. It was spotted with colored lights and had a small dance floor reminiscent of one of the dance parties at my house. It made me super nostalgic for my bros back home. It was hella tight that I could buy alcohol though. I felt like a total Boss going up to the bar and ordering way overpriced ($10) beers and vodka shots. My main problem with the clubs is that they play waaaay to much SHITTY Swedish pop music. The second club I went to pretty much only played bad Swedish pop and looked much more like a classy club. The second one was tight because I went on Wednesday night. Thursday night I proceeded to have my first hangover in school...That was total balls on my face.
So far though, I prefer the Pubs for going out. They usually have cheaper drinks, and tend to be karaoke themed, which is always really amusing. I actually bought a beer last Friday that was in a 1 liter mug. I really brought the TP that night...it was crazy fun.
But all in all, if I want to have a realy fucking good time, I go to house parties. I've only been to one, but it was by far the most fun I've had partying. I didn't need to worry about getting kicked out if I got too belligerent, and the people were much friendlier because they are the ones I go to school with. House parties a true testament to the power of alcohol, because even the most shy Swede will go crazy with socialization if they have some. I did miss my bros again though, because at this party, there was a 5:1 girl/guy ratio! WTF?! That shit doesn't even exist in our dreams! And all the girls were these beautiful Swedish girls I've been talking about.
All right, these are the general first impressions I have after almost 4 weeks. Hopefully the next posts will be more detailed and fresher in my mind.
